A TIC is the abbreviation for “Tenants In Common”. This is a way to hold an investment property with many other investors. The IRS recently allowed investors to “exchange” into a TIC. Your position is one of many investors, at different levels of equity ownership, who own a larger property than they could afford by individually investing.
