High School Rankings After Week 4

NO. 1 CARDINAL NEWMAN (2-1-1, 1-0)…Welcome back to the Redwood Empire world and with it a solid game by their defense in the win over Rancho Cotate. Next Up: host Elsie Allen (0-4, 0-1).
NO. 2 CASA GRANDE (3-0-1)…Offense showed some explosion in dominating win over Petaluma to kick off league play. Defense was the Casa defense….Next Up: host Analy (2-2, 1-0)
NO. 3 SANTA ROSA (4-0)….Gutty win in Ukiah. Another solid performance by a defense that had three interceptions. Joe Montana kind of drive for Quarterback Rylan Thew to win it at the end. Next Up: at Maria Carrillo (1-3, 1-0)
NO. 4 HEALDSBURG (4-0)….Big win in Sonoma turns everyones eyes. Healdsburg offense can strike from anywhere…and there defense came up with the big plays….Next Up: host Windsor (2-2).
NO. 5 MONTGOMERY (2-1-1)…Did what was expected. Next Up: Host Piner (1-3, 0-1)
HONORABLE MENTION…Cloverdale (3-1)…No they wouldn’t hang with the big boys listed here (and some that are not)…but still impressive turnaround from an 0-10 season.
