NFL PICKS…WEEK 6…AND NEEDING THE BYE FROM THE NINERS AS BAD AS THEY NEED A BYE

October 11th, 2007 . by JoetheSportsGuy

A nice rebound after a disaster week, although wouldn’t of mind missing two more if the Niners would of won their thriller and the Cowboys would of lost theirs. Speaking of the Niners, good timing for a bye. Need a week off from watching their weak game.
LAST WEEK: 11- 3 78.6%
SEASON: 50-26 65.8%
BEST OF THE YAHOO EXPERTS: 49-27…so regain a one game lead on them.

MINNESOTA (1-3) AT CHICAGO (2-3)….One wonders how long the Bears have been pinching themselves this week after the win over the Packers on Sunday Night. The Vikings have lost three straight, all by 7 points or less. The Bears will hand them their fourth straight.

WASHINGTON (3-1) AT GREEN BAY (4-1)…Packers needed a 1-3 to visit instead of 3-1 after last weeks heartbreak. Redskins jumped all over the 2nd place team in the NFC North last week, this week they will get the first place team.

CINCINNATI (1-3) AT KANSAS CITY (2-3)…Tell you a little bit about the AFC West that the Chiefs are only 1/2 game out first place. The Bengals had the week off to righten their ship. Might not be righten completely but will be good enough to win this one.

MIAMI (0-5) AT CLEVELAND (2-3)…The Browns actually gave New England their toughest test so far…and still lost by 17. The ‘72 Dolphins usually toast to the last undefeated team going down, wonder if they will toast a Dolphin win. If they do…they will have to wait another week…or two.

PHILADELPHIA (1-3) AT NY JETS (1-4)….Playoff teams from last season don’t look like playoff teams in this season. AFC East teams, New England excluded, are 0-9 against teams outside their division. Until they win one…going with the other division.

TENNESSEE (3-1) AT TAMPA BAY (3-2)…Two of Tampa Bay wins are over winless teams. Tennessee is not winless…

HOUSTON (3-2) AT JACKSONVILLE (3-1)…With these records this is a battle for last place in the AFC South believe it or not. Houston is comfortable in last place and that’s where they go.

ST LOUIS (0-5) AT BALTIMORE (3-1)…Lulling the Ravens to sleep didn’t help the Niners last week. The Ravens might have that problem this week with the Rams…but will have enough again.

CAROLINA (3-2) AT ARIZONA (3-2)….Both teams are tied for the top of their division. When it is all said and done Kurt Warner at QB for Arizona will turn out to be a good thing.

OAKLAND (3-3) AT SAN DIEGO (2-3)…With these records this is a battle for first place in the AFC West believe it or not. San Diego is comfortable in first place and that’s where they go.

NEW ENGLAND (5-0) AT DALLAS (5-0)…Didn’t realize how much hatred I had for Dallas until watching them win that Monday Night game in Buffalo. New England will put a smile on my face with this win.

NEW ORLEANS (0-4) AT SEATTLE (3-2) SUNDAY NIGHT…I am officially off the Saint bandwagon. Yeah I know…what took me so long.

NY GIANTS (3-2) AT ATLANTA (1-4) MONDAY NIGHT…Hoping at least that the Falcon’s make the Giants sweat before their next game against the Niners. I doubt if they will even do that.
