SONOMA COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL RANKINGS AFTER WEEK 8
October 30th, 2007 . by JoetheSportsGuyNo undefeated teams left in Sonoma County…and now the race for the playoffs reaches the stretch drive
NO. 1 CARDINAL NEWMAN (6-1-1)….Newman’s six game winning streak is now the longest in the area. They are also the only team in the NBL or SCL undefeated in league. Look like a lock for the No. 1 seed in the North Coast Section Playoffs.
NO. 2 RANCHO COTATE (6-2)….The Cougars have won four straight and haven’t been tested since their Week 4 loss to Cardinal Newman.
NO. 3 CASA GRANDE (6-1-1)….They showed up in their biggest game of the season and played their best game of the season. Only El Molino is stopping them from at least sharing the SCL title for the fifth straight season.
NO. 4 HEALDSBURG (7-1)…Was that a reality check…or just an off night. Very capable teams in Petaluma and Analy left on the schedule to answer that.
NO. 5 SONOMA (6-1-1)….Their wins aren’t as one sided as Casa and Healdsburg, but they do win. After a week outside the SCL a win at Windsor gives them the shared SCL title.

I think Sacred Heart Cathedral played it’s best game against Valley Christian last week.
For some reason their starting QB was out but I don’t know why.
