NFL PICKS….WEEK 11

November 16th, 2007 . by JoetheSportsGuy

If there was ever a week to do things with the family this is it.  The Raiders are at Minnesota in the morning (combined record 5-13) and in the afternoon the Rams are at the Niners (combined record 3-15).  Hard to believe but both the local teams are underdogs in a couple of dog games.
Speaking of dogs one of those weeks for the picks..but at least I wasn’t the only one..
LAST WEEK:    6-  8  42.9%….Second week this season under 50% for the week.
SEASON:        92-52  63.9%….Take a little comfort that the five Yahoo experts best mark was 8-8 and still have a one game lead over the best they have to offer.    How Week 10 was for the pickers of the world…Yahoo “experts” agreed on five games that were wrong picks.
But there is always another week.

TAMPA BAY (5-4) AT ATLANTA (3-6)….It is hard to believe that a win here for Atlanta moves them within one game of first place in the NFC South.  Its a win they will get.

NY GIANTS (6-3) AT DETROIT (6-3)….Biggest game of the week.  Both teams need a win to stay within yelling distance of the leader in their division and to avoid dropping back into the pack for a Wild Wild Card race.  Not quite sure why the Giants are favored.  Going with the Lions who have been very good at home.

KANSAS CITY (4-5) AT INDIANAPOLIS (7-2)…Payton Manning got a lot of heat for having a bad game against San Diego last week…and what got lost…they should of won the game.  Colts won’t be in a good mood…the only question is will they have enough players?

MIAMI (0-9) AT PHILADELPHIA (4-5)…Here is a toast to the Niners not having to play Miami.  The Dolphins have lost the last two games by identical 13-10 scores.  They go for their version of three peat.

CLEVELAND (5-4) AT BALTIMORE (4-5)…Watching Baltimore try to explain their offense is like listening to the Forty Niners try to explain theirs.  Browns are in let down mode after losing the heartbreaker to the Steelers last week:  Taking the upset…Don’t ask me why.

ARIZONA (4-5) AT CINCINNATI (3-6)…Arizona snapped a three game losing streak after a couple of near misses.  If they can’t get a road win here they may never get one.  So they will.  Its hard taking a NFC West team though.

CAROLINA (4-5) AT GREEN BAY (8-1)…This is a big game for the Packers.  After this back to back Thursday games on the road against the Lions and Cowboys.  So its in their best interest to go into those two games with a head of steam, which they will.

OAKLAND (2-7) AT MINNESOTA (3-6).…Already said enough about this game.   Taking the Vikings.

SAN DIEGO (5-4) AT JACKSONVILLE (6-3)…Niners fans miss Norv Turner and his offensive brain.   That brain doesn’t seem to be helping the Chargers offense.  The Chargers won’t get lucky this week.

NEW ORLEANS (4-5) AT HOUSTON (4-5)…Taking the Saints as a thank you for being the Rams first victim before they played the Niners.

PITTSBURGH (7-2) AT NY JETS (1-8)…Steelers dodged a major bullet last week.  Jets don’t have that many bullets in them.

WASHINGTON (5-4) AT DALLAS (8-1)…Cowboys continues their roll…dang it.

CHICAGO (4-5) AT SEATTLE (5-4)….How bad the NFC West is the leader won’t beat the Bears at home.

ST. LOUIS (1-8) AT SAN FRANCISCO (2-7)…Dang it but have to take the Rams.  And was going to do that even before TRENT DILFER.

NEW ENGLAND (9-0) AT BUFFALO (5-4) SUNDAY NIGHT…This is the first of the so called flex schedule where NBC basically gets to pick their game.  NBC ran an ad last week about “this is what the flex schedule is all about”.  To show us a 3 touchdown game???

TENNESSEE (6-3) AT DENVER (4-5) MONDAY NIGHT…The only thing this game has going for it is it should be better then the last two Monday Night fiascos.   Taking Tennessee because that’s who I’m rooting for.
