This years version of the game of the century is this week with the Patriots traveling to Indianapolis to meet the Colts. If I had a dollar for everytime I heard the statement “the first time two teams were both at least 7-0 when meeting” or heard the question “whose better Payton or Tom” I’d be rich…and thank you thank you thank you to Raider fans for not supporting your team so the game will be on in this area. Two weeks to go in the regular season and there are seven teams playoff eligible in the 3A bracket with Redwood of Larkspur and Petaluma(see the note in the game preview below on Petaluma) added to the list which also includes Cardinal Newman, Rancho Cotate and Santa Rosa from the North Bay League along with Sonoma and Casa Grande from the Sonoma County League. My guest this week is Chief Deputy Assessor for Sonoma County: Bill Rousseau.
Currently, as Chief Deputy Assessor,Bill is responsible for all operations at the Sonoma County Assessors Office, including managing over 75 staff members. He is a Certified General Appraiser - California Office of Real Estate Appraisal, and a member of the International Association of Assessment Officers. Buying a house now in foreclosure—How do I get inspections done or find out just what I’m buying??
Many properties going TO foreclosure or “Sale” are NOW on the market so getting into them might not be that hard. If this is possible then get your contract or inspector out there. While you’re at it a pest control report and maybe structural engineer, septic, well, etc. Obviously depending on WHAT type of property you are attempting to purchase in the forelcosure sale.

When I grew up in Guerneville, the greatest state of California, the volunteer fire department NEEDED the siren to alert all of our scattered volunteers and to tell them if it was either a FIRE or a DROWNING. One long burst–FIRE!! Two Long Bursts–DROWNING! The fire was usually the most urgent while the drowning pretty much was a “recovery” situation. However, the boys of the company thought it great fun racing each other to the firehouse which was a couple of blocks away from the town’s main intersection. Read the rest of this entry »
