NFL PICKS WEEK 15
December 13th, 2007 . by JoetheSportsGuyBriefly…It goes without saying the Atlanta Falcons are the biggest mess of this NFL season, but I can’t get past the fact they beat the Niners…NFL Network is getting there’s for stealing games that most of us can’t see. Oh yes they had Dallas-Green Bay and have season finale between the Patriots and Giants. But look at this Thursday-Saturday doubleheader. Denver at Houston and Cincinnati at San Francisco. Gets the blood pumping doesn’t it? Oh yes God works in strange ways. Speaking of had a very good 12-4 week, but all the Yahoo experts had at least that big of week, so it was sort of like the Niners holding Adrian Peterson to a 14 carry 3 yard game, and losing the game 27-7.
LAST WEEK: 12- 4 75.0%
SEASON: 130- 78 62.5%
Still six games back of Yahoo’s best. BTW Yahoo’s users overall is better then Yahoo’s best, if that makes sense.
DENVER (6-7) AT HOUSTON (6-7)…(THURSDAY NIGHT)…Frankly the NFL Network couldn’t of been to excited about this game as soon as the schedule came out. Houston because someone has to win.
CINCINNATI (5-8) AT SAN FRANCISCO (3-10) …(SATURDAY NIGHT)….The big rematch of Super Bowl XVI (that’s 16) and XXIII (that’s 23). Maybe not such a big rematch. Cincinnati because someone has to win.
SUNDAY’S GOODIES
JACKSONVILLE (9-4) AT PITTSBURGH (9-4)…We might see these two teams play come playoff time. Steelers got beaten up pretty bad by the Patriots both on and off the field. They will not be happy…and take it out on Jacksonville.
ATLANTA (3-10) AT TAMPA BAY (8-5)…The Falcons are happy to be off of Monday Night Football, although guessing they will be prominent on the pregame shows. The Tampa Bay win cinches the NFC South Title.
SEATTLE (9-4) AT CAROLINA (5-8)…Both teams playing out their season for different reason. Seattle the NFC West has nothing at stake unless the Packers come back to them in a bad way for a first round bye, so they can get playoff ready. Carolina looking forward to their vacation. Seattle sharpening up for the playoffs will be enough.
GREEN BAY (11-2) AT ST. LOUIS (3-10)…Rams in life and death struggle for last place in the NFC West. Dramatic isn’t it? Green Bay moves closer to first round bye.
BALTIMORE (4-9) AT MIAMI (0-13)…This should be on the NFL Network. The two teams lost by a combined 82-37 last week. Miami has the staying power though when it comes to losing. They have lost their last two games by a combined 78-30. I used to think Miami would get one win…used to.
NY JETS (3-10) AT NEW ENGLAND (13-0)….Oh my god this is going to be ugly. The pregame is ugly. Ugly ugly ugly. Oh taking New England.
ARIZONA (6-7) AT NEW ORLEANS (6-7)…This is actually a big game to stay in the Wild Card race. No fooling. Saints have killed me this season, so lets give them a chance to kill me again.
BUFFALO (7-6) AT CLEVELAND (8-5)…This has Wild Card written all over it. Haven’t seen the Browns and would like to in the playoffs, so lets go with them.
TENNESSEE (7-6) AT KANSAS CITY (4-9)…Tennessee is on the outside looking in for a playoff spot. Kansas City is in a life and death struggle for last place in the AFC West. You get the idea.
INDIANAPOLIS (11-2) AT OAKLAND (4-9)…The Colts very quietly plucking along. They continue their plucking.
DETROIT (6-7) AT SAN DIEGO (8-5)...There was a time that the Lions looked like a playoff lock. No kidding. Chargers wrap up AFC West with the win.
PHILADELPHIA (5-8) AT DALLAS (12-1)…Terrell Owens is flapping his mouth again. What took so long? Cowboys are not as good as their record says….but good enough here.
WASHINGTON (6-7) AT N.Y. GIANTS (9-4) SUNDAY NIGHT…Both teams season turned around with the Giants win over the Redskins in Week 3. Sure the Redskins remember that, not sure if they can do anything about it.
CHICAGO (5-8) AT MINNESOTA (7-6)…MONDAY NIGHT…Chicago’s season motto is ruined. They ruined a Packer moment when they beat them. Their season is ruined…and now they try to ruin the Viking season. Won’t happen.
